 Seren Goch was formed in the summer of 2005. After years of playing in the Swansea Senior League, a group of players felt that standards generally in local football had declined.
They were frustrated at the lack of enjoyment in playing football, a lack of opportunity to improve, and the difficulty in finding a club, run in the interests of ALL the members. This group of players believed it was possible to form a new club, which would allow all of these things, and more. And so, Seren Goch was founded.
Seren Goch is based in the Eastside of Swansea in the St Thomas, Grenfell Park and Port Tennant districts near the Docks. Home matches are currently played at the Ashlands Playing Fields in Port Tennant.
 Why Seren Goch?
Welsh is our nation’s language and part of our identity. Also we recognise that we are part of the Welsh football pyramid. Seren Goch translates as “Red Star” - a symbol of unity amongst working class people throughout the world. Seren Goch supports anything that unites our community and opposes anything that divides it.
Therefore, Seren Goch welcomes everyone within the community to play for the club or become members regardless of ability, age, gender, ethnic group, or sexual orientation..........
